Key’s batteryorganized in state service on 29th april 1861 reorganized for confederate service in july 1861 the unit was to see service in the western theatre, mainly as part of cleburnes division.Battles; shiloh, corinth campaign, perryville, murfreesboro, tullahoma, chigamauga, chattanooga siege, chattanooga, atlanta campaign, picketts mill, atlanta, atlanta siege, nashville.Hardee type flag with unit designation black inverted cannon in white disc, painted honours in green and red.The original is held in the old state house museum, little rock, arkansas. Swett’s battery the battery was organized in may 1861 although officially designated as the warren light artillery battery, it became known as sweets battery due to association with the batterys first commander captain charles swett. The unit would see exclusive service in the western theatre with the army of tennessee.Battles; brownsville, rowletts station, woodsonville, shiloh, corinth campaign, farmington, perryville, murfreesboro, tullahoma, liberty gap, chigamauga, chattanooga siege, chattanooga, atlanta, atlanta siege, carolinas campaign.Hardee type flag with unit designation black inverted cannon in white disc, painted honours in green and red.
