A total of 231 men.The flags of this unit conform to state pattern for new york units with the national flag carrying 34 stars,. It constructed with seven red stripes and six white stripes, these were made of either silk or bunting. The flag would have borne regimental designation and, branch of service, also the letter nysm (new york state militia) appear in gold stencil upon the fourth red stripe, in line with national regulations. Although in this example the unit maintained its original regimental number 14.. The regimental flag is fielded on a dark blue background and features a stylized version of the state arms. The inscription along the bottom of the flag reads, “the price of liberty is eternal vigilance.” both flags carry no battle honours.
