Orphan brigade 1862 1864carried by the orphan brigade, kentucky units who could not return to their home state of kentucky, due to union occupation.Red latin with cross with thirteen stars on a blue background. The original is in the collection of the museum of the confederacy, in richmond virginia. It is most likely that this flag was carried by the brigade from 1862 until mid 1864.
